Mark Foley is a longtime community member. He graduated from Uintah High School then served for two years in the Dallas, Texas Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served for a number of years on the board and executive committee of the Vernal area Chamber of Commerce and was the President from 1991 to 1992.
Mark is one of the founding board members of the Vernal Chamber Foundation. Currently serving as the president of the Foundation.
Mark has been involved in the local Republican Party and served as the Vice Chairman and Chairman. His service to the community includes serving on the board of the Ashley Regional Medical Center for many years where he currently serves as Vice President of the Board. Mark is an Eagle Scout and has served in multiple capacities over the years with Boy Scouts.
In addition to community service, Mark has served in his church working with both youth and adults including many leadership roles and service as Bishop.
Mark and his wife Judy own and operate Neighborhood Cleaners where they have supported trees for charity for many years and Vernal Rotary Club with their annual coats for kids project.
Mark is the father of two sons Dallen and Greg and grandfather to five of the best ever grand kids.
In October 2024 Mark received a new esophagus at the Huntsman Medical Center in Salt Lake City. This has given him a second chance on life, and Mark is looking forward to enjoying time with his family.
Mark says, “I’m grateful to live in a community like Vernal where we are surrounded by kind and compassionate people.”
