Bill grow up in a family that served others. Their favorite family song was “Put Your Shoulder to the Wheel”. For Bill's eagle scout project he collected old toys and refurbished them to make them look like new to give to children at Christmastime that were less fortunate.
Bill loves music and practiced the piano 2 hours a day as a child. He later shared his musical talents playing in national jazz festivals winning various titles, playing the piano and the organ in church, and playing for the National FFA Band in Kansas City, Missouri as one out of 98 high school musicians in the nation. He won a Sterling Scholar in Music and then a Music Scholarship to BYU.
Bill has served as a Bishop for the last five years and has also served as a Transient agent Bishop during this time.
Bill has been a member of the Mosquito Abatement Board for the last 8 years, coached many boys and girls baseball and basketball games and is actively involved in scouting. He is a member of the Uintah Basin Orchestra and Chorus playing the string bass since the beginning. He has been a volunteer member of the Uintah High School Show band for various musical productions.
He has sponsored and supported various community activities and events including the recent Haunted Hotel, Trees for Charity and many science, music, and athletic events in the Basin. He is a member of the Vernal Area Chamber of Commerce and the Heber City Chamber of Commerce. His Orthodontic Practice employees 30 part time and full time people.
Bill loves people and it shows in everything he does.
Bill and Jackie have six children, 5 grandchildren, and 3 grand dogs and they have loved living in the Uintah Basin.
