Steve Evans

Steve’s Broadcast Career began in 1985. He has experience working in markets like Salt Lake City, Springfield Mo, Albuquerque N.M., Wichita Ks, and Saint George Utah. Since 1994 Steve has raised a family and lived in Vernal and is proud to call North Eastern Utah home.
Steve Evans owns Evans Broadcasting Media which was formed out of a recent merger between Ashley Communication and Evans Broadcasting owned by Joe and Teddie Evans.
Always actively involved in the community, Steve has served on the Chamber of Commerce Board of Director for several years including three years as President. He was a member of the Parks and Recreation Board for seven (7) years, including serving as President. While on this board he was over Parks and was involved in the planning and development of the Baseball Parks, maintenance and update of the Lapoint Park and over maintenance and update of playgrounds in all the parks in Uintah County. He is the past president of Rotary International. He served on the Dinosaur Roundup Committee for 10 years including being President of the Rodeo.
He has developed and managed several new retail promotion events including the very successful long running Home and Garden show. He has organized and sponsored music festivals including Country Explosion, Alive after Five, and Thunder Country.
A Reagan Republican since 1980, Steve is a champion of conservative values both social and political. Holding firm to these values in business has been a philosophy that has served KVEL and the communities it serves well.
He is married to Lisa Reynolds and together they have 6 adult children and 10 grandchildren. He says his favorite thing is being grandpa.
