Lowe's of Vernal, Utah opened its doors to the community on December 13, 2007 and have been serving the community ever since.

As a purpose-driven home improvement company, we help people love where they live by improving our communities and neighborhoods. That's the lens we use to do what's right for customers and our communities.  At Lowe’s, it means we are accountable – to customers, to our people and to the communities we serve. It means we aim to do what’s right – to find a solution that works for all of us. It means we strive to be trustworthy – to do what we say and keep our commitments.

In 2015, we contributed $18.6 million in support of community improvement initiatives across the country. Lowe’s Heroes, working with our partners and community members, volunteered thousands of hours of their time and technical expertise to assist the efforts.

In 2016, our associates will be volunteering hours for two (2) local Lowe's Heroes projects.
We volunteered time building a wheelchair ramp for one of our customer's in need. A customer came to us in hopes of finding contacts of someone who could build a wheelchair ramp for him. After inquiring about his issues it was discovered that the customer's wife would be leaving the hospital soon and would be wheelchair bound with no way of accessing their home. The home has 3 concrete steps as the only method of entry. Our associates went to their home, measured the area, and designed plans, and built a new deck with a ramp to allow access of a wheelchair.

Our associates will also be volunteering their time to build a new playground for a low income housing unit here in Vernal. The units currently consist of 22 units with 18 children and 26 adults that this will serve. We will be removing a large grass area and will be replacing it with a new playground set with rubber mulch. We will also be doing landscaping and providing a seating area.

The Vernal Lowe's Team appreciates being part of the local community and are committed to helping our residents love where they live!

The Public Relations Committee of the Vernal Area Chamber of Commerce is very pleased to present July Business of the Month to Lowe’s Home Improvement Center.
