Jones Paint and Glass has been part of the Vernal community for nearly 80 years.
Originally founded by Claud Allred during the depression, Allred Glass was purchased by Jones Paint & Glass in 1975. James Allred eventually took over management from his father, and later his son Jerry Allred took over management and is the current branch manager of the Vernal Store. Jerry’s son Kyle also works there and is a 4th generation Allred at Jones Paint and Glass.
This year Jones Paint & Glass is celebrating its 80th year in business. This anniversary is especially significant to Jerry who says he is proud to see his grandfather’s business withstanding the test of time. “Through ups and downs in Vernal’s economy, Jones Paint and Glass has weathered the storm, helping to keep members of the Vernal Community employed through tough times,” said Jerry.
Community has always been a priority to Jones Paint and Glass in Vernal. Their employees are active community members, who volunteer for the local search and rescue, fire departments and help in the community supporting schools and coaching sports teams.
Jones Paint and Glass sponsors many school programs and community programs such as the Elks Club, Holly Days, and American Cancer Society to name a few.
Jerry says “employees at Jones Paint and Glass are like family and are good people.”
