Andeavor, formerly Tesoro, is a leading refining, logistics, and marketing company. In August 2017, Tesoro officially changed their name to Andeavor. They employ approximately 75 people in the area and 15,000 nationwide, they were also recently named a Fortune 100 Company. Locally they are a midstream oil and gas company that provides gathering and compression services for local energy producers. They have approximately 800 miles of pipeline that gather over 1,850 wells.
Andeavor is extremely proud to be a part of the Uintah Basin and this wonderful community that our employees call home. Many of Andeavor’s employees were born and raised right here and now, are raising their own families here in the Basin.
Andeavor and their employees take pride in the community where they live and work and want to give back to it as much as possible. They were able to form a Community Investment Committee to determine how they could support and contribute to the community. This Committee is relatively new and is excited about the future.
Andeavor was able to participate in many activities throughout the community this past year; they tried to not only donate financially, but also with their time.
We wanted to mention not all, but a few of the things the employees of Andeavor were able to accomplish. Andeavor constructed and donated wagons for the local Special Olympics Program. They were able to donate backpacks, pencils and notebooks to needy children for a Back to School Luau. They donated pumpkins to a local Teen Outreach Program. They participated in the Mayor’s Walk. They were able to sponsor the Horse Carriage ride during the local Holly Days Festival. They decorated a tree for the Trees for Charity and the money raised was donated to the Children’s Justice Center. They were able to donate to the local Shop with a Cop program. They made several donations to the local Food Pantry. And last but not least, one of their favorite things they were able to participate in was the Meals on Wheels program done locally for the Senior Citizens of the great Uintah Basin. It was a very humbling and eye opening experience for all the employees that were able to participate.
We wanted to thank the Chamber of Commerce for all that they do for the community and for also allowing us to be part of it.
The Public Relations Committee of the Vernal Area Chamber of Commerce is very pleased to present to Andeavor for their many contributions to our area, Business of the Month.
