The Holiday Inn Express and Suites of Vernal is one of 2300 locations worldwide and is a chain within the Intercontinental Hotels Group. The Vernal location currently has 69 rooms and among that they have 21 suites. They offer free hot buffet style breakfast, free Wi-Fi, HD satellite television, in house laundry, a business center, and an indoor pool and hot tub. It is owned and operated by Mars Hospitality. Mars Hospitality built the hotel and opened it in the summer of 2007. As a company Mar’s believes in providing “Legendary Customer Service” which will enable them to enrich the lives of their guests, their employees and owners. Their goal is to provide the kind of unique and genuine service of personal care and attention that their customers tell stories about.
The Hotel General Manager is Sidney Smith followed by his outstanding team leaders: Matthew Arias as maintenance engineer, Jamie Padigimus in housekeeping/back out house, and Jarika Hacking in front desk operations.
Sidney came from Lake Powell; there he ran the restaurant, hotel and other marina operations where he focused on providing a positive memorable experience for all of his guests. Because of that experience he made it his emphasis to ensure that he and his team make customer service a priority and that all their guests will have a positive memorable experience in Vernal, UT.
Sidney says “We believe our hotel exist only because of customers and, in particular, repeat customers who voluntarily choose to return and spend their money for rooms in our hotel. Therefore, taking care of our customers is their highest priority, in fact a privilege, never an interruption.”
The Holiday Inn Express loves being a part of the Uintah Basin Community and support various events, sports and charity programs including Trees for Chairty, “Hear Us Roar” a 5K run for hearing impaired, and Relay for Life. Sid is an active member of the Vernal Area Chamber of Commerce.
